1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User”, “you”) and Borsch.AI (“we”, “us”, “our”) governing your access to and use of the Borsch.AI platform, including our website, API, AI chat features, and all related services (collectively, the “Service”).
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
2. Description of the Service

- UK company search and data aggregation from 50+ official government sources
- Algorithmic risk scoring and compliance signals
- Entity relationship mapping and network analysis
- AI-powered chat for company research and due diligence
- API access for programmatic data retrieval
The Service provides informational data only. It does not constitute financial advice, legal advice, credit reference, or regulated due diligence. See our Disclaimer for details.
3. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service.
- You must provide accurate and complete registration information.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- One person or entity may not maintain more than one account.
- You must not use the Service if you are subject to sanctions or export restrictions.
4. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must immediately notify us at contact@borsch.ai if you believe your account has been compromised.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy.
5. Subscriptions & Billing
5.1 Plans
The Service is offered under tiered subscription plans (Free, Pro, Business, Scale, Enterprise), each with different usage limits and features. Current pricing is displayed on our Pricing page. All prices are in British Pounds (GBP).
5.2 Billing
- Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance via Stripe.
- Your subscription automatically renews each month unless cancelled.
- We may change pricing with at least 30 days' advance notice.
- Usage beyond your plan's token allowance may incur overage charges as displayed on your plan.
5.3 Cancellation
- You may cancel your subscription at any time from your Account Settings or via Stripe's Customer Portal.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then.
- Upon cancellation, your account reverts to the Free plan.
5.4 Refunds
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of purchase for new subscriptions. To request a refund within this period, contact us at billing@borsch.ai.
After the 14-day period, refunds are provided at our discretion on a pro-rata basis for the unused portion of the billing period. No refunds are issued for partial months of use.
6. API Usage
- API access is subject to the rate limits and quotas of your subscription plan.
- API keys are confidential — you must not share, publish, or expose them.
- You must not use the API to build a competing service or to resell data.
- We may throttle or suspend API access for abuse or excessive usage.
- API responses must not be cached for longer than 24 hours without our written consent.
7. AI Chat & Generated Content
The AI chat feature uses large language models to analyse company data and respond to queries. You acknowledge and agree that:
- AI responses are generated algorithmically and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or outdated information.
- AI output does not constitute professional, financial, or legal advice.
- You are solely responsible for verifying AI-generated information before acting on it.
- Your queries and conversation context are processed by our AI provider (Anthropic) — see our Privacy Policy.
- We reserve the right to moderate, log, and review conversations for safety and compliance purposes.
8. Intellectual Property
8.1 Our IP
The Service, including its design, features, algorithms, risk scoring models, software, and branding, is owned by Borsch.AI and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service.
8.2 Government Data
Company data sourced from UK government registers (Companies House, FCA, ICO, etc.) is published under the Open Government Licence v3.0 and/or Crown Copyright. We do not claim ownership of government data — we provide value-added analysis, aggregation, and presentation.
8.3 Your Content
You retain ownership of any content you submit (queries, notes, project data). By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
9. Prohibited Uses
Use of the Service is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Key prohibitions include:
- Mass scraping or bulk downloading of data
- Reselling or redistributing platform data
- Using data for harassment, discrimination, or stalking
- Attempting to circumvent rate limits, authentication, or security measures
- Using the Service to facilitate money laundering, sanctions evasion, or other illegal activities
10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
10.1 No Warranty
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will be accurate or complete.
10.2 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Borsch.AI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.
Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10.3 Data Accuracy
While we strive to keep data current and accurate, we source information from third-party public registers and cannot guarantee its completeness or correctness. Risk scores are algorithmic indicators, not definitive assessments. See our Disclaimer.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Borsch.AI, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.
12. Termination
- You may close your account at any time by contacting us.
- We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, with or without notice.
- Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
- We may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.
- Sections 8, 10, 11, 13, and 14 survive termination.
13. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to registered users via email at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
