Acceptable Use Policy

1. Overview

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets out the rules governing your use of the Borsch.AI platform, including the website, API, AI chat, and all related services (the “Service”). This AUP is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service.

Violation of this policy may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account, without refund, and may be reported to the relevant authorities where required by law.

2. Prohibited Activities

2.1 Data Scraping & Bulk Download

You must not:

• Use automated tools, bots, spiders, or crawlers to scrape, download, or extract data in bulk
• Systematically download company profiles, signals, or risk scores beyond normal research use
• Use the API to replicate a substantial portion of the database
• Cache API responses for longer than 24 hours without our written permission

2.2 Reselling & Redistribution

You must not:

• Resell, sublicence, or commercially redistribute data obtained from the Service
• Repackage or white-label the Service or its data without an Enterprise agreement
• Share API keys or account credentials with third parties
• Provide access to the Service to users who have not accepted our Terms

2.3 Illegal & Harmful Activities

You must not use the Service to:

• Facilitate or promote illegal activities, including fraud, money laundering, or tax evasion
• Evade or circumvent sanctions regimes (UK, EU, US, or UN)
• Harass, stalk, threaten, or discriminate against individuals
• Violate the privacy rights of individuals beyond what is publicly available
• Conduct corporate espionage or obtain trade secrets
• Compile dossiers on individuals for harassment or surveillance purposes

2.4 Security & Integrity

You must not:

• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Circumvent or disable rate limiting, authentication, or security controls
• Introduce malicious code, viruses, or other harmful software
• Interfere with the availability or performance of the Service
• Test the Service for vulnerabilities without our explicit written consent

2.5 AI Abuse

You must not:

• Attempt to extract, override, or manipulate the AI system's instructions or safety guardrails (prompt injection)
• Use the AI chat to generate misleading reports intended to damage a company's reputation
• Use AI output as evidence in legal proceedings without independent verification
• Submit queries designed to make the AI produce harmful, defamatory, or illegal content
• Automate AI chat interactions beyond the limits of your subscription plan

2.6 Impersonation & Misrepresentation

You must not:

• Impersonate any person, company, or entity
• Provide false or misleading information during registration
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or bans
• Misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organisation

3. Fair Use

All subscription plans are subject to fair use limits. While we provide generous usage quotas, usage patterns that significantly exceed typical patterns for your plan tier may result in:

• Rate limiting or throttling of requests
• A request to upgrade to a higher-tier plan
• Suspension of API access pending review

We will always attempt to contact you before taking action on fair use violations.

4. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violation of this AUP, or if you believe the Service is being used for harmful purposes, please report it to abuse@borsch.ai.

5. Enforcement

We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations and take appropriate action, including:

• Issuing a warning
• Temporary suspension of access
• Permanent termination of your account without refund
• Reporting to law enforcement or regulatory authorities
• Pursuing legal action for damages

The severity of the response will be proportionate to the violation. We aim to provide fair notice where possible, but reserve the right to take immediate action for serious violations that threaten the security or integrity of the Service.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to registered users at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
